Privacy policy
This is a translation provided for convenience. The Portuguese version — Política de privacidade — is the official text and prevails in case of any discrepancy.
This policy explains how Longo Gudiño Advogados handles personal data collected on this site, under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018) and the professional duty of confidentiality of lawyers.
Who processes the data
Longo Gudiño Advogados, CNPJ 19.014.305/0001-80, registered with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/RJ) under no. RS 016507/2013, headquartered at Rua Humaitá, 275 — 7º Andar · Humaitá — Rio de Janeiro/RJ · CEP 22.261-005. Data protection officer contact: dpo@longogudino.com.br.
What the site collects
Only what you type in the contact form: name, e-mail, telephone, company (when provided), subject and message. The site does not build profiles, does not use advertising cookies and does not install third-party trackers.
You may also download the briefing material without providing any data. If you choose to receive further publications, we keep your name and e-mail for that purpose only, until you ask to be removed.
Cookies
While you browse this site, no cookie is stored — neither ours nor third-party. There is no analytics, tracking pixel, local storage or third-party script.
The only cookie appears when you submit the form: a session PHPSESSID, which prevents two submissions within 30 seconds. It does not identify you, is not shared with anyone and disappears when the browser is closed.
That is why this site shows no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to. A cookie notice here would be the only thing creating cookies.
A transparency note: the map on the contact page is loaded from OpenStreetMap, which receives the IP address of whoever opens the page. The service sets no cookie in your browser.
What the data is used for
Exclusively to reply to your enquiry and, if an engagement follows, to provide legal services. The legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the form, and the legitimate interest in answering those who contact the firm.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 12 months. Where a professional relationship exists, the data becomes part of the firm's records and follows the legal retention periods for documents and proceedings.
With whom it is shared
Your data is not sold or assigned. Access is restricted to the partners and staff of the firm. To operate the site and answer enquiries we use providers acting as processors, under art. 5, VII of the LGPD:
- Hostinger — hosting of the site and execution of the contact form;
- Google (Google Workspace) — sending and storage of e-mail messages and processing of client documents.
Client documents and data are handled exclusively by providers with a data processing agreement (DPA) and, where available, zero data retention. We do not send client data to public or general-purpose artificial intelligence tools.
International transfers
Some of these providers keep servers in the United States or in Europe. Where processing involves a transfer outside Brazil, it relies on the grounds set out in art. 33 of the LGPD — as a rule, specific contractual clauses agreed with the provider, which is also responsible for the security safeguards.
Your rights
You may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymisation, portability or deletion of your data, and withdraw your consent, by writing to dpo@longogudino.com.br. We reply within 15 days.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to the panels that reach client data requires two-factor authentication; data is encrypted in transit and at rest at the providers; and access to documents leaves an audit trail.
